AI for Clinics and Healthcare Practices

Your front desk is answering the same forty questions every day. That’s the job AI should be doing — not clinical decisions.

What reception actually deals with

A busy clinic in Singapore takes a hundred or more contacts a day across phone, WhatsApp and walk-ins. Strip out the genuinely clinical ones and what remains is remarkably repetitive: opening hours, whether a particular doctor is in, how much a consultation costs, whether a referral is needed, where to park, can I move my appointment, is my report ready.

None of it is difficult. All of it interrupts. And it arrives while your staff are also checking in patients, taking payment, chasing a lab result and managing a waiting room that can see them being interrupted.

The visible cost is the queue. The invisible one is what gets dropped: the call that rings out at lunchtime, the WhatsApp answered nine hours later, the patient who wanted to rebook and quietly went elsewhere instead.

Worth measuring before anything else: for one week, tally how many calls go unanswered and how many messages wait more than an hour. That number is usually the honest case for doing something — more than any projection we could give you.

What can be automated — and the hard line that isn’t crossed

Healthcare has a boundary that other industries don’t, so let’s be explicit about it.

Appropriate to automate

Never automated

If a vendor is comfortable letting AI answer clinical questions, that should end the conversation. The value here is in giving your staff back the hours lost to admin, so more of their attention reaches the patient in front of them.

Patient data, handled properly

Any system touching patient information sits under Singapore’s PDPA, and healthcare data carries greater sensitivity than most. That shapes the build rather than being bolted on afterwards.

We are not lawyers and don’t give legal advice. We design to these principles and tell you plainly which decisions are yours to confirm with your own advisers.

What changes day to day

How much that is worth depends on your patient volume, your no-show rate and what an empty slot costs you. We work those numbers out with you first, and write the target down before building anything.

Funding this

For a Singapore-registered practice, the Enterprise Development Grant may support up to 50% of qualifying costs, with no fixed cap. Enterprise Singapore decides eligibility, not us. The rule that catches most applicants: nothing can be signed, paid for or started before approval.

A smaller self-funded project — one clinic, one workflow — can start immediately without any application.

Common questions

Will AI give medical advice to my patients?

No. The system is built so it cannot attempt triage, diagnosis, clinical advice or medication questions. Anything of that nature is escalated to your clinical team, and anything urgent or symptom-related is never queued or answered automatically.

Is this compliant with the PDPA?

The design follows PDPA principles - collect the minimum, keep administrative data separate from clinical records, set retention deliberately, and know where processing happens. We are not lawyers and do not give legal advice, and we tell you plainly which decisions to confirm with your own adviser.

What can it actually handle at my front desk?

Administrative volume: opening hours, fees, doctors on duty, what to bring, parking, appointment booking and changes, reminders that reduce no-shows, and recalls for reviews or screenings that are due.

Will it reduce our no-show rate?

Reminders go out reliably rather than when someone remembers, which is usually where no-shows come from. How much difference that makes depends on your current rate, which is why we measure it before and after rather than quote a figure.

Tell our AI how patients reach you and where your front desk loses time. It will map out what’s worth automating for a practice like yours, what it could be worth, and whether a grant applies. Around two minutes, no charge, no obligation.
